The email appears targeted although the weird thing is that there is no activate now part of the offer. I'm only going by the fact that only one account has received the offer. It's possible that the emails are coming out in stages. My gut feeling is that it is targeted but perhaps it is a wait and see offer. Perhaps more emails will come in overnight.

Either way, the offer is only worthwhile if you have a really good use for the gift cards in question and you know you can use the gift cards in a reasonable amount of time.

Offer isn't targeted. Haven't received any email and bought a $50 DJ card and got $5 on my card.

Someone at head office messed up yesterday. They pushed through a ticket batch update on the Thursday night run for stores to put up on Friday morning. This batch included orange tickets on around 100 Gold and Select brand products.
Friday afternoon, they send an urgent comm to stores saying to take down the tickets, they aren't for instore and are targeted offers.

I wonder how many people got those products while the tickets were up and are trying to claim the W$.

Work at Woolies and had to do this myself this morning. Luckily, I got them down before 8-9am before getting busy. Hopefully, no complaints.
