I wonder if one can back claim? I purchased one 4-5 weeks ago that would have netted me 75,000 points

Geeze, I've still got my 'Westpac Holden' cc that I opened about 16 years ago. These days it's rebranded 'Ignite' and is fee free (benefit free too, I should add, mine currently has a $5 credit balance and is just a waste of space). For the time it was Holden-branded, you could earn up to 3,000 points which equated to $3K a new Holden. Now I never redeemed, but my understanding was in the very early days some folks did manage to squeeze $3K off a $14K Barina - a very healthy discount. That was on top of the best deal they could get from a dealer. But I believe Holden wised-up pretty quick, and brought back the sliding scale. Now they are in bed with VA. Well, sorry, I'm not buying a Holden that's for sure.

At what do we value 100,000 VA points and is it "above best negotiated price" or are there other terms?

To start with the "up to" is actually:
