Having a 5 day stopover in Dubai from SYD (QF1) to (EK19) MAN in April 2018. 1st big family trip with long haul flights. We are 2 adlts and 2 kids, 5 and 7. Looking for hotel/apartment suggestions for the 4 of us, including breakfast & wifi & transfers. Have heard it can be harder as we require 3 beds as the kids need their own, rather than 2 Dbls (they fight and wriggle too much if in a Dbl together!). Suggestions please for family rooms (The Palms is way out of budget!). Can do 2 bed appts?. Will be doing Legoland, water park, mall, etc, Thanks

April is fantastic weather in Dubai. Warm but not too hot. Can't help with the Hotel room but I've done 2 Dubai trip reports that are in my Signature.

Take the family on the Platinum Heritage Desert night trip. They'll love it. Obviously the Aquarium. A trip out to Jumeirah beach area. The red HOHO bus route and go to the Souks. Do an abra ride across the creek.

Second the Platinum Heritage Evening trip which I did based on Pushka's recommendation. Really enjoyable.

Just back from 3 days in Dubai...very hot 46 degrees...stayed at The Hilton Hotel The Walk at Jumeriah Beach..good location and had executive club access and very impressed with the staff and food offerings. It was way too hot to spend anytime time on the beach but we did do the HO HO Red Bus...sat up top in the air conditioning and made good use of the 48 hour pass. Made sure we got to a few malls too, would love to go back one day when its a little cooler. Hotel offered us complimentary car pick up to and from airport.

Great time to visit Dubai as it is not the peak season, Hence finding apartments for you would be a bit easier.
Few years back i had been to Dubai and had booked an apartment just in front of burj khalifa in Dubai downtown.
It was a nice 2 BHK apartment.
