Thanks(?) for sharing this.

What is a Travel management company? Flightcentre? other travel agent?

Or is it my accelerate registered business? But not if I book via normal website and add the ABN based on the following from terms.

and public website bookings containing an ABN are not eligible for this offer.

Or does that exclude accelerate bookings as well?

What do you think?

I also received this and am interested to know how to book an eligible flight (which would take me to Platinum for the first time)...

Interestingly my Here's How in the email from VA is slightly different to the OP -

Here's how:
1. Activate this offer by 15 May 2018
2. Book an eligible Virgin Australia flight by 31 May 2018 with Accelerate or your travel management company
3. Fly by 31 July 2018

I already booked my next 3 weeks of work travel (booked through an eligible travel management company) yesterday!

Will I get the double points now I’ve activated the offer? - this will have me hitting platinum in 4 weeks

I normally book my work flights via FCM travel. I am not registered for Accelerate.

FCM Travel Solutions

Note that for domestic flights Getaway fares is excluded from my offer. But I always book Elevate or above anyway.

Not sure. From what I read, you need to register before booking.

I got this version too. Conflicts with the T&C's somewhat.

Can anyone with an ABN join Accelerate?

I recently joined Accelerate with my ABN, not much else was required.
However, seriously unimpressed by what I have experienced to date.

I did get the email but did not mention Accelerate. I have register but not like to book as I have existing DSC and triple point that take me up to 31 Jul.

I am also not that impressed with Accelerate although it has improved a little in the past 12 months

So I rang up the Virgin help line, I have a trip to book to the USA in June and double status would get me to Platinum with ease. Strange conversation really as first they had not heard of the offer, then they told me that others were also querying it, then back to I was the first to question it. Also they couldn't seem to make up their minds whether they worked for Virgin or not, quoting that Virgin set the offers and not them (I assume I spoke to someone from an outsourced company).
Either way I had to send them a pdf of the offer so they could investigate further, which will take up to 3-5 business days apparently.
What a strange way for a company to do business. Although they did congratulate me on receiving a targeted offer, lol.

Anyone know if Egencia (Expedia) is a Travel Management Company for this offer?

Must another example of a company laughing money over a poorly designed marketing campaign.

They really need to learn you get someone who has no pee distorting knowledge of the hammering campaign to come up with questions.

I've no idea if I book directly with virgin will I get this offer. So the offer is currently not only workers to me, it also makes me think negatively about VA.

Last yeah when they ran a similar program, Amex Business Travel counted.

No, only corporate travel agencies will be able to do this. That is places like FCM, Corporate Traveller, Corporate Travel Management and those kinds of places.

If you don't know someone from there, chat to the EA or whoever does exec travel and ask them for the phone number. If you call them with EXACTLY what you're after they'll most likely be happy to book it for you.

Wondering why they would target this so wide? I haven't booked with a corporate travel agency for at least 4 years (my travel is all self funded now). I book via the website 100% of the time on my own credit cards. It's rubbish. Like here's this awesome deal but you don't qualify so suck it. Poor form VA.

Exactly my thoughts. I thought "oh great, some much needed SCs" but then saw I had to use a "travel agent" or whatever they call it now. Haven't used one since 1997.

It's not a regular travel agent. That would be easy (flight centre price match)... it's a corporate travel agent. Like everyone has one on call or something...

And while we're on double SCs did everyone get their bonus SCs from the last offer? I was just checking my profile and I can't see any. I booked at least three flights at the time, one of which I haven't taken yet.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
