Double Dipping into PPS and Another *A FF program - Gone!?

Some background Info:
Mr Joey - SQ KrisFlyer
Mrs Joey - SQ KrisFlyer for PPS Accumulation Only + Asiana Club

Upon check-in in Melbourne, I instructed the check-in staff to place Mrs. Joey's OZ Club number into FQTV field and SQ KF number in FQTS field. The check-in counter member took over 20 minutes trying to help us out and the system just kept on over writing both field with KF number. I felt bad for monopolizing the J check-in, and I apologise for the J paxs on the SQ218.

After 20ish minutes, I felt that the staff had done enough and really felt bad in jamming up the queue. So we left to go to SKL, in MEL SKL the lovely staff tried her best to do it for us even calling in re-inforcements. But the system just wouldn't budge.

Same thing happened in SIN T3 SKL, we tried again there before boarding our BKK flight. No luck.

Oh well, I guess SQ must have closed the double dipping scheme... or it is just HER luck (note: HER evil calculating double dipping WAYS finally caught up to her.)

Just wondering with fellow AFFers, would you have any similar experience recently??

P.s. Redshirts protests still happening across the city, life still goes on in Bkk. I love it, low occupancy in the hotel means EXTRA attention and service from staff!! NICE.

No problems a couple of weeks ago. I always ensure I have my KF number in the booking first (when I book) and change the points earning program at checkin, and never had a problem. Maybe a problem if you are adding both at the same time?

Oh, as for BKK..... don't know about the low occupancy bit, may depend on hotel, I was at the Hilton Fri night and tried extending (both in hotel and online) for Sat night and showing full occupancy.

Thanks for the insight. Must be my better half then... SIA probably doesn't like her :mrgreen:. No, we definitely weren't trying to add both FF numbers. The lounge lady had done it before and knew exactly what to do... the system just won't allow her to do it. Even she found it to be extremely strange.

Both Shangri-la and Dusit Thani are pretty empty. Have no issues getting exactly what I asked for. I have specific rooms that I want in both hotels. At breakfast - pretty empy - stayed from 07:00 to 09:30... (Yes, we are both related to swines....)
