Can we double dip? Claiming QF and AA points on flights with both companies?

No.Mrsdrron got it once but only after an AA stuff up.They compensated her with AA miles, she had the flight originally credited to QFF.This i imagine is rare but the only way it could happen.

You cannot double dip. When requesting credit from an FF program, they will always check with the operating airline if any FF credit has been given to another program, and if so the claim will be rejected.

Not sure whether it counts as a double dip but during the Qantas grounding my PER - LAX flights were cancelled and I flew with Malaysia (PER-KUL-LAX). I got an original routing credit from Qantas plus the points from Malaysia.

I think there may be quite a number of those instances from the grounding, especially domestic flew on DJ, collected QF points on ORC, and then also collected Velocity points. :)

Hypothetically ;), given the possibility of a check, the way to do it was to fly DJ without a Velocity number in the bookking, claim the QF points on ORC (if QF is what you were after), then once the points were paid, retrospectively claim the points from Velocity. No way Velocity would ever be able to tell that QF had given you some points.
