Good evening folks

Just wondering if Virgin offer Vehicle Transfers from Home to Airport for both Domestic legs of International Flights, and for International Flights, Similar to the service offered by Qantas/Emirates for their Business and First Passengers.

My wife and I are booked to go SYD-PER, then SYD-LAX-JFK in late September and returning via LAX-SYD-PER in late October. We have booked Business for all legs.

If this service is available how do I go about booking it for the various legs. If available Is it only avail for legs within Australia or can I book complementary Cars for a Hotel - LAX transfer and then PER to Home on return.

What I'm after is a Transfer from PER to PER Domestic, a Car Transfer from JFK to our hotel in New York/New Jersey, a Car Transfer from Hotel to LAX upon return and then a Car Transfer from PER Domestic to home upon return.

Hope this makes sense !

Kind Regards

Paul :)

No.
And I am not aware of anyone asking this before

Actually Virgin do offer a complimentary limo transfer service for Business pax flying on long haul international but only in certain locations and there are a number of restrictions. Pax are only eligible for the transfers if they are booked in full fare Business (classes J & C only), discount business fares are not eligible nor are Rewards bookings made with points. Also only flights operated by Virgin are eligible, Delta codeshares are not.

Here's the link to the relevant page on the VA website: Airport Transfers Information | Virgin Australia

In the US, transfers are only available to/from LAX, so no luck with JFK. I'd guess you would also be eligible for transfers to/from PER domestic as the flights are part of an international itinerary? - the website states the service is available to/from SYD, BNE and MEL International and "Airports in all other Australian capital cities when a guest is connecting between an international long haul flight and a domestic flight operated by Virgin Australia" - assuming of course in both cases that you are booked in an eligible fare class and meet the other conditions i.e. not flying on a Delta codeshare.

Ok I did not know that, despite often using the VA web site.

It's not something that VA seem to promote, I came across it by chance last year as I had booked my first long-haul flight in J to the US - I had a Business Saver fare though, so was very disappointed that I wasn't eligible!

Update on complimentary transfers Virgin/Etihad in Abu Dhabi - now only available for full fare passengers. Here is the reply I received after attempting to book:

Thank you for your complimentary limousine transfer service request.

I can confirm that for flights operated by our partner airline, Etihad, Guest Redemption Tickets (fare class I and O) booked in First or Business after 1 April 2018 will no longer be eligible for Etihad Chauffeur services, including upgrades using miles into Business. Business Saver fares are also no longer eligible for complimentary transfers.

Thank you for taking the time to contact Virgin Australia ... We hope you understand the reason we are unable to complete your request.

Kind Regards,

Jermaine Jade
