I have an SQ F saver redemption (O class) flying MEL-SIN-BKK RT for next year with my VFF number linked to the booking.
Will this flight earn VA SC's & if so, roughly how much?

I usually hover around 100-110 SC's as a VA Red, but if the above flight does earn SC's I might book a few Dom Elevate fares to make up the Sectors & SC's needed for Silver, mainly so I can get Lounge access for a MEL-DPS flight later next year

Currently, I do not know of any airline that will pay points/miles on any points/miles redemption award bookings (excluding some points + pay bookings)...

You shouldn't receive any SC for an award flight, although occasionally there are reports of points being credited erroneously.

If you really want Silver to get lounge access MEL-SYD-DPS, I wouldn't bother. Silver doesn't give you any free lounge access, and the lounge passes can only be used at Virgin-operated lounges. So your only lounge access would be at MEL domestic. No options at SYD international or DPS.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
