Planning trip to Europe Aug 2019 flying AY with stopover BKK. Anyone know if AY conducts regular sale of J fares?? Not looking at RTW
Thanks for the help.

Yes they do. They also have J deals which I think are only bookable 'manually' via a travel agent which are excellent value.

By TA I mean a 'proper' TA, Not a Flight Centre type.

We are flying to Reykjavik in 2019 and Ay is easily the cheapest on ita.
Our ta is going to rustle up some fares so it will be interesting to see if there is any difference based upon Roo flyers comment.

You should subscribe to the Finnair emails and you will get the specials direct to your inbox. They are quite regular with sales and present good value IMO.

Also, you are able to book the sale fares online via the Finnair website.

Thank you Kerrodt

Last year we flew Sin - Dublin return in Finnair J for $2,700 each, on a 2 for one sale booked on Finnair's Singapore portal. We got to Sin under our own power from Perth - to save about $4,000.

The Sin to Helsinki leg actually had a plane breakdown and they put us on QR instead.

To add to my earlier comment, you can subscribe to their emails from various departing points as the sales schedules and pricing sometimes differ. I'm subscribed to their emails from Australia, Bangkok and Singapore. As an earlier poster has alluded to, there can be great savings to be had by getting to (say) SIN on a separate ticket and then connecting from SIN-HEL-xx_ on an AY sale fare.

Good tip thanx.
Sorry about the newbie question - can you subscribe to all 3 with the one email address and from the Aus website?

As I recall you simply open the Finnair site and then select the country/language you desire and set it as the home page. I am still subscribed to the Singapore site and get e-mails with offers directed to Singapore. I don't think it would be a problem to do all 3 in separate actions.

Finnair send out their "Reindeer route" offers fairly regularly, usually a couple of times a year. But I have found it is worth doing dummy bookings around 8-9 mths ahead. I picked up SYD-HKG-HEL-LHR return for 28/12/18-28/10/19 for $5.9k several weeks ahead of a "reindeer" offer and was quite pleased with that. So visit finnair.com regularly.

Roundabout travel have a sale at the moment with Finnair from $5591 - if you're travelling from Australia are you likely to see a lot cheaper than that.

Q. Can you subscribe to all 3 with the one email address?
A. Yes

Q. And from the Aus website?
A. At the top of the Finnair Webpage there is a country selector. I subscribed by just changing the country at the top to (say) Singapore and then subscribing to the Singapore departure newsletter, then changed the country at the top to (say) Hong Kong and then subscribed to the Hong Kong departure newsletter. This has all worked out well for me. I don't know whether changing the country at the top had any impact, but I did it anyway. You will get a confirmation email confirming your subscription after each action.
