In a world where power points are typically placed in twin sockets side by side why do device manufacturers make chargers for them with the cord extending to the side rather than the bottom? All my sideways designed chargers have the cord extending to the left and its annoying. You cannot plug these chargers in side by side, they impinge upon the other socket. They also render small powerboards useless due to the same problem. I've never seen a power point positioned so low on the wall that having the cord extending from the bottom would be an issue. I live in a small apartment with only....wait for it.....4 powerpoints in the entire apartment. I hate these sideways designed chargers with a vengeance. I'm always having to unplug one applicance to plug in another even with powerboards. They are just awkward.
