Anyone else experiencing this?

I've been denied DSC because QantasLink isn't Qantas. Odd thing is that all of my other flights on QantasLink have been credited with DSC. Have emailed back and forth a few times now, no luck.

Thank you for contacting the Qantas Frequent Flyer Service Centre.

We appreciate your effort to provide relevant documents for us to review your query. Upon checking, we are unable to credit Double Status Credits for your flights under Reloc xx_XX as they were not operated by Qantas. For the flights to be eligible for this promotion, they must be both marketed and operated by Qantas.

That bit sounds wrong - it has never mattered in the past. However, it may be a different reason

1) Which flight (flight number/date) was it?
2) Which DSC promotion was this booked in
3) Were any changes made to the flight?
4) Was a delayed payment method used? :)

Definitely not correct, qantaslink has always counted.

1) 22 Oct 18
2) QF1467
3) nope, no changes.
4) nope, it was purchased with CC. The return flight on that same booking CBR->SYD was credited DSC fine.

I have flights booked during one of the DSC promos which include legs on flights operated by Network Aviation - but the planes are Qantas branded and Network Aviation is a Qantas Group Airline - I'm banking on the points to reach gold, I hope I get them.

This.

Never had a problem with Qantaslink flights being counted, and just this morning I called to have bonus SCs credited from a few flights last year with no issues once I confirmed the offer email and booking details for the Qantaslink flights. I called because I didn't have a response to the email for over three weeks and it was sorted in 20 minutes.

Absolutely not right. You should receive the DSC.

For the latest DSC offer I strangely found myself in the same situation as you where the return journey was always posting, however, the outbound wouldn't post. I waited the required 8 weeks and then emailed with success. Last year I lived in TSV and a majority of flights I booked were QantasLink not once did I get a response like you have.

I have always had Qantas Link flights DSCs post without any problem. Maybe the emails are being answered by the same people who man the Chat service - I have been told some absolute rubbish via Chat

Like all have said, definitely wrong.

They are effectively operated by Qantas - the QF code is not a codeshare, it is the operators flight number.

If it was, say TLxx_ (or even JQZZZ) sold as QFYYY they’d have a point.

QantasLink is not an airline as such, it is a subsidiary that doesn’t have its own tickets, sales agents, or IATA code. I guess you’d say it’s the same airline for commercial matters but separate for airworthiness matters.

The joys of outsourced third world staff.

They would have read “operated by Eastern” and.... here we are

Ops!

Did make the call and had things cleared up, the flight was ineligible because the promo started on the 23rd. o_O

Still doesn't justify the pathetic and wrong response:

Pleased to hear that your issue was resolved for you, although these sort of ridiculous errors by the Qantas Frequent Flyer Service Centre, continue occurring over and over again!

Does anyone know when the tender is up for the BPO who handles the QFF service centre ?

Let’s hope it’s soon. ;)
