Delta Air Lines Delta Comfort+™ Terms and Conditions[/h]
  • Effective 19 September 2016, Velocity Platinum, Gold and Silver members can request to waitlist for complimentary upgrades to Delta Comfort+[SUP]TM[/SUP] seats.
  • All upgrades will be subject to the availability of Delta Comfort+TM seats on the day of flight departure.
  • To request for an upgrade on a Delta Air Lines flight (including codeshare or interline flights purchased through Virgin Australia), you must ‘opt in’ for an upgrade request through the Delta Air Lines website or at the Delta Air Lines check-in counter on the day of flight departure.
  • Upon checking in for your flight, you will be waitlisted for an upgrade; if your upgrade request is successful you will receive confirmation at the boarding gate.
Only eligible Velocity members can access complimentary upgrades to Delta Comfort+ seats. Travel companions are not eligible for upgrades, even when travelling as part of the same flight reservation.

another enhancement.
Im glad I just booked outright C+ for next year

What's the enhancement? Getting notified of your upgrade at the gate?

The popular sectors are hopeless for an upgrade opportunity anyway. Our Delta USA internal flights were always packed, there was never going to be a Y+ seat available, so we came home thinking that little exercise to be a lesson in futility.

And changing it to exclude family members on the same flight itinerary is just plain mean spirited. Although I do concede that some people would exploit this with larger parties, but when you consider that it's only available to SC and WP Velocity members, then I would argue that they've probably flown enough to earn the right.

I'm not a big fan of the C+ upgrades anyway. I keep getting my aisle seat moved to a window on CRJ.

IMO - this isn't an upgrade. Main line flights sure - as long as its not a middle.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
