I did not realise just how many problems the delivered 380's
were having.

Delivery delays cap Airbus' tough year

QF are not going to get there next deliv until later in Jan.

I would have thought with the delayed deliv's caused by the airlines needing more breathing space should have allowed Airbus to finally get their act together.
But it seems not.
I find it strange that coming into their 2nd year of deliv's they are still having so many prob's.

This must be costing them an arm and a leg.

That's really strange; the 6th 388 was to have been delivered in the last few days. It first flew in March but has been in storage as it's delivery was deferred by Qantas.

Maybe something went wrong when they removed the "mothballs".

Presumable with each new delivery (or assembly), problems encountered in the first builds are being tweaked so the plane is more reliable? The machine that is Airbus is just getting oiled up and should soon be running at full speed?

The A380 that was due to arrive Jan 1, is now expected to arrive Jan 10.
