Hey Guys,

So I plan on booking a day use only room coming up, was wondering what HH Diamond status benefits could I expect to use?

The day use only room times are
Check in: 9AM
Check out: 5PM

Would I be able to grab breakfast after check in at 9AM? Could I try and get earlier and late check out? Lounge access?
Has anyone booked a day use room before and tried to use their benefits?

The reason for my day use only is because the room is over $700 for the night but for the day is priced at $200. When I'll be out late anyway so figured I could just push it an extra couple hours and save a few hundred.

You'll get your night/stay credit and all points due. I've never tried to have breakfast but I'd say that will depend on the hotel (I'd guess yes for many AU hotels). The lounge will also depend upon the hotel, but I've certainly stayed for the lounge benefits after the day use check out (with the approval of the hotel, in my case HSP). I'd also assume they'd be open to a later check out and possibly an earlier check in if they're not fully booked. I've also had room upgrades as well.

Let us know how you get on. I'd be curious. What's your status and which hotel?

I actually was thinking the same thing the other day, so would be interesting to hear once you find out.
I'm sure you would have lounge access, as they're open all day.

I think they all do it, but not as good bargains as what used to crop up (in fact these days, it's often the full 24hour rate). To see day use rates, just enter the same date for check out as for check in. They can be ideal for gaining reasonably cheap stay credits for status though.

As an example.....

Not all hotels open the lounge all day. It'd depend on the hotel.
