I'm travelling to Paris soon :D and would like to take a day trip to Champagne.

Just wondering if anyone has suggestions for tours?

Ideally, it would be nice to go on a "not-too-touristy" tour... would be great to visit some boutique champagne houses rather than just the big names.

Won't have a chance to overnight in the region - restricted to staying Paris.

Any feedback/suggestions/experiences would be much appreciated!

Hi odoherty the link below is a wonderful place to go it offers a tour and tasting, the tour is in French but most of the time you can understand, the Champagne is good it’s a boutique place not like the big Champagne houses, it it’s close to Reims and a wonderful part of Champagne.
I found this place from a wine importer, who brings the wine to Australia he recommended it, I was not disappointed.

Wine Touring in Champagne

Eat at Le Brasserie du Boulingrin 48 rue de Mars - 51100 REIMS

if you only have a day this is the heart of champagne and a great place.

Hi Odoherty, Did the Champagne Day Trip last year with Viator, booked
before leaving home. It was a wonderful day. No hotel pickup, just have
to make your way to their depot and the same on return, no dropoff but
well worth it. It was done with a very modern comfortable bus and yes it
is touristy but visited Mumm and Moet and Chandon. Wine tasting in both
wineries and free time for lunch in Rheims which is beautiful. All in all a
very pleasant experience. Made a few purchases and consumed during the
rest of our trip.

Hi Odoherty, four of us did the day trip to Champagne last year, after a lot of research we went with a company that got great reviews on Trip adviser, its a small company with excellent personal service both before, during and afterwoods. They pickup from your accomodation, you do a small boutique champagne house, a mid size one and a couple of larger ones along with a french lunch, they will also alter to cater for you if time permits. They take photos of you during the tour and email these to you. The guide speaks excellent english and really makes the trip special. The web site is www.parischampagnetour.com I can assure you you will be glad you did it as its a fantastic day. Feel free to message me if you want any further details.

Cheers
Tim
