There was a conversation in another thread that mentioned that in SIN you can just go to the QF transfer desk and get your boarding passes while they collect and re-check your luggage, even on non-interlined itineraries.

I have an upcoming trip with a BA international -> CX international transfer coming up and was wondering if CX had anything like this at LHR? I'd really rather avoid the immigration queues at LHR if at all possible!

If so, would it matter that I'll be doing a T5 -> T3 transfer?

A pox on this Oneworld change!!! :(

I now have a similar problem but in reverse CX international --> BA international. Am now glad for the 5 hour stop over in LHR but not thrilled about going through immigration, changing terminals and re-checking bags. Will be following this thread with interest!
