Anyone else had experience(s) with cancelling / changing a CX ticket for flights in the period 15 Mar-31 May 2020?
13 Mar I moved a 07Apr-24 Apr PEY DPS-HKG-(USA) round trip to start 13 Sep 2020 with a modest increase in price (serious sale price ticket). CX has since discontinued all the flights in the original ticket period, it would appear I have lost the chance for a cash refund. Which would have had the effect of seriously reducing my CC balance in the interim.

Comments welcome.

Looks like full refund with no cancellation fees, one of the better policies in play.

I cancelled my April 11/28 CX flights on Tuesday.

According to the rules on the website, they were eligible for full refunds.

However, on hitting "cancel" got an online note telling me "technical difficulties" prevented my refund being processed, and that I should submit a separate online refund form.

On filling that form out, it was rejected on hitting submit, as my flights "were ineligible for refund".

I tried the 131747 call centre, but the wait was just too long...

So I messaged them on their Facebook site. Within 24 hrs someone responded, and asked my booking number.

When I sent that back, was told I was being processed for a refund, but it would take 6-8 weeks.

I pointed out the credit card used to make the booking last April was now cancelled.

Again, within a day, had a reply, asking for my banking details.

Nerve racking, but seems to be working...
