Congrats bossreggie, and well deserved too!

I imagine you must be a dream CL recruit for QF, namely one who doesn't need it at all: always flying in the highest cabin, and one whose graciousness (chocolates for FAs on every flight!) is exceeded only by their eventual LTSC tally. :)

I "accidentally" had to fly THAI in October as when I went to check in I had less than 6 months validity on my passport. I found the staff to be very friendly. The plane was a 777 two classes so I flew J. I still prefer a little more room but I otherwise had no issues with them at all.

I have flown EK F suites many times to Europe and when I am travelling alone I love the solitude 1A gives. I used to fly EK to AKL regularly but swapped to QF to ensure I was racking up a lot of SC's.

I am re-evaluating my travel spend ATM and I am more than likely to spread it around a little more. I think when NZ gets its' first new 777's I will give their premium cabin a try.

Hi There.

My current status is WP. I have been asked to provide to QANTAS some additional information for a potential status reassessment.

Those of you who actually KNOW me will be aware that outside of Mercedes-Benz I have other business interests. My spend with QANTAS is quite significant, however as I alluded to earlier in this thread... I am going to do some flying outside of QANTAS/One World to see how I go.

I am not certain if I will get CL or not. My educated guess would be if I committed to QANTAS for the majority of my intended bookings then I probably would. I do note though that I am now able to select row 1 at the time of booking. I was also able to get instantly confirmed upgrades for +1 on his flight MEL-AKL on Xmas day from a red-e-deal.

Will keep you posted.

What's the Mercedes-Benz connection? Perhaps we should discuss my interest in a CLS :)

My former partner used to manage MB sponsorship of the ATP circuit through Schmidt und Kaiser. The only way to watch the tennis :)

I agree that Mercedes-Benz hospitality is very good. I love the Grand Prix both in MEL and at other destinations I have been invited with them. Only downside to trvelling with them is they have a J policy for long haul. Last time it was SQ and LH and I paid the extra for F which made my "free" trip around $10K :(
