combining Qantas gift voucher with points + pay from QFF-can this be done on line?

I couldn't find anything like my question when doing a search, so here it is as a new post.

I have a Qantas gift voucher from a refund of business class fares where planes were downgraded after A380 problems last year.

I'm hoping to use it in combination with points+pay for business return PER-CDG (PARIS) later this year (or x2 economy return PER-CDG if significantly cheaper).

Can I only use this combination of payments by calling QFF and getting assistance, and copping a fee for phone booking? There doesn't seem to be the ability to do what I want when booking a flight through QFF online, unless I'm missing something obvious.

Anyone with previous experience of doing this, or recommendations for the best way to do it?

Approximately how much do you have in the voucher and do you have a chunk of points?
You will need to be careful in the points plus pay because one of my friends managed to use a kings ransom in points and cash for midnight flights for two on the QF site. Once booked QF would not undo the booking.
Personally I would use the call centre at least to hear what is possible.

hi cove, a fellow WAussie.

I have $600 in vouchers and just over 60,000 QFF points - nowhere near enough to cover a return business flight to Europe, hence points + pay.

Also have around 100,000 Amex points but can't combine those with Qantas voucher or QFF points, as far as I know and from what Amex redemptions tell me.

I'm happy to give Qantas call centre a go, just wanted to know what others' experiences in this are.

Who are you allowed to transfer those Amex points to according to the rules with your card? Is it QF,DJ,SQ or someone else? That will really change the answers.
There are actually quite a few Sandgropers in AFF so it is always nice to welcome you from down the street.

I did not set up my Amex points for automatic conversion to QFF points, so now can't do it after the rule change several years ago. I have an alternate credit card where all points earned get converted straight to QFF points, but I decided not to do it with Amex as wanted flexibility to use points for variety of purposes, not just QFF points.

If you can get those points to SQ it is 102,000 points to go PER-SIN in SAVER and SIN-CDG in STANDARD one way in business class plus about $350 in fees.
That is A330 and then A380.....very nice.
