I am 86SC (thanks to a promo) short of requalifying WP - i have no travel planned over the next 8 weeks but the day after my anniversary date I fly and will earn 95SC. I cannot fly the day before otherwise I would have.

Would QFF allow a 24 hour window for requalifying or should I look into trying to makeup those SC's before I go?

Ta for any advice!

Hi and welcome to AFF.

SCs must be earnt in the membership year so yuo'll need them before or on the last day of your membership year.

If you've been WP for a few years, you may get comped WP before the anniversary date, and short of the required SCs. But flights after your anniversary date won't count for this year.

This year, I was going to requalify via flights 2 weeks before my anniversary date. When I logged on to check-in, I found a 'congratulations ... ' message saying I had requalified.

But I wouldn't rely on it. You'll have to plan to fly to earn the SCs and maybe cancel if you get comped.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

The 95 SC will go towards your next year qualification and like RooFlyer says - don't rely on anything
If you want to keep plat - go out and get it!

Make the trip and you will be fine. I have read it before here that someone was close and didn't get comped based on future travel
