'Classic Hotel Rewards' introduced as new redemption option

Just noticed this one pop up on the Qantas Points website - the equivalent of classic flight rewards by the looks of it. Limited availability - 55 Australian based hotels through TFE. No points awarded on bookings.

Based on the cash rates for the available hotels, looks like worse redemption value than using Points+Pay on flights.

17k QFF to stay at the Travelodge Garden City in Brisbane. Which is around 125 AUD a night.

Any better redemption values in Sydney or Melbourne?

Yeah I book hotels using points every now and then. If this is the same as classic flights then it is discounted rates.
