Just found out Citibank Japan retail arm has been transferred to SMBC Prestia last year. So does that mean we lose access to free withdrawals in Japan?

If so, what options do we have? other than carrying wads of cash of course.

Free withdrawals at SMBC Prestia branches, of course. 216 yen per overseas withdrawal + whatever the ATM operator charges.

I have a lot of "OS ATM FEE REIMBURSE" entries, which I think pertain to withdrawals at 7/11 (108 yen or 216 yen depending on the time of day).

Are you talking about Citi debit? You do realise that you don't need to use a Citibank ATM for this, right? It is fee free worldwide, apart from operator charges.

I haven't found an ATM in Japan that charges a fee, yet.
