Just booked F on MU in a couple of weeks. Points was the same as J and I though what could I lose.

Has anyone flown from Sydney to Shanghai recently in F, what did you think?

As it was booked through Qantas will I have access to the F Lounge in Sydney prior to the flight.

Anyone ????
I had several J flights with MU in June/July this year. Flight report here:

The planes I flew on did not have any F capacity. So are they using new planes to offer F?

In any case, I hope the F is considerably better than the J I experienced.

I must say that this "Points was the same as J and I though what could I lose." seems very strange, especially as I indicated that there were no F seats at all on the planes MU was using.

OP I have never flown MU F but have had done dozens of MU J flts inter and dom - only advice I ever give to potential MU pax is always expect the unexpected!

I had had flts on brand new metal with both hard and soft product perfect - I have had flts on old metal with both soft and hard products laughable.

I have had many flts somewhere in between.

I have always found crew to bend over backwards to try to please pax and ensure they enjoy the flt. Many lack the English skills of other mainstream Asian carriers and service / soft product delivery does lack the polish of other mainstream carriers.

Flts can be very enjoyable to disappointing - but price usually significantly cheaper than other mainstream Asian carriers.

I would readily fly their F if available out of MEL - I am also considering MEL-SYD-PVG just to try their F. So no first hand exp MU F but I say go enjoy it and roll with the punches if and when they are thrown. 👍

Are MU now flying F out of SYD. I thought it was the a350 with the new J with doors. I may be wrong.

Research shows 6 F seats at the front.

I did not know that but can see reward seat availability on the same aircraft. I did not realise MU run the 777 out of AU. I have learnt some thing today. I have only ever flown MU J.

Edit. It looks like you scored on your chosen week to travel. It looks like MU are running the 777 for a couple of flights during that week of Oct then it goes back to a combination of 789 or 330.

Friend of mine flew MU F a couple months ago. I think for all intents and purposes it's a slight upgrade from J... bigger seat/suite and PJs, otherwise I think an extra course on the menu.

regarding the pricing... I thought now that MU had their 'super J' seating at the front of the A350/787 there were some issues with QF pricing those as F rather than J?
