Chengdu, china to hong kong.

In August I need a flight from Chengdu (CTU) to Hong Kong (HKG), however, when I read some of the reviews about the various carriers I wonder if I wold be safer walking.
I am not referring to CX as I have flown them many times internationally, but the cost of their short legs in China precludes them.
It's only about 2.5hr flight, and the cost vary considerably. Can anyone suggest an airline for this trip.

Do you have any QF points? 14,000 QFF points and 90 CNY will get you a one way flight CTU to HKG on KA (Cathay Dragon - former Dragonair). Flights available some days in August.

Living in China, I would probably take Hong Kong Airlines (Part of the HNA group) ahead of Sichuan airlines. There are also nonstops on Air China and (as mentioned above) Cathay Dragon. I would avoid any airlines with connecting flights through Chinese airports involving a domestic/international connection (particularly Xiamen airlines) as the transfer experience is often far from seamless.

Sorry for not reply sooner. My son booked us a direct flight CTU-HKG with Air China AU$220 each.
