I'm not sure whether I'm imagining things, but I'm sure that for our trip to the US in 2011, on Checkmytrip.com there was a tab you could click on to access and print your e-ticket for that booking? Mr Jurahn is off to Europe in a couple of weeks and wanted to reprint itineraries, e-tickets etc as a number of flight times have changed (flying Singapore Airlines and multiple flights on SAS) - all the bookings come up on checkmytrip but there's no link/tab anywhere to access the e-tickets.

I assume he will be able to retrieve them all via the SQ and SAS websites, so might have to do it that way, but I'm sure you used to be able to do it through checkmytrip?

try using classic.checkmytrip.com . What do you mean print an e-ticket? It's pretty much an e-ticket in any format on checkmytrip, its an itinerary with a ticket number.

Thanks Aussie-flyer, I'll give that website a try. By e-ticket, I mean the e-ticket receipt which is sent to you as a separate document in addition to your itinerary when you book (for international bookings anyway). On virtuallythere.com (Sabre), there is a link on the right-hand side of the page "view e-ticket receipt" which brings up the document headed "e-ticket, receipt, itinerary & tax invoice" which shows all flights on that booking, the booking classes, validity dates, amount paid for the ticket etc, which is the "real" e-ticket. What shows on checkmytrip is, as you said, an itinerary with an e-ticket number. Whilst an itinerary with the e-ticket number is usually sufficient to travel, many airlines will recommend that you also carry a copy of the e-ticket receipt with you in case you are asked to present it so I always have a copy just to be on the safe side.

Mwenenzi - Both SQ and SAS use Amadeus, so the bookings will only come up on checkmytrip.

I know what you mean but that really isn't required, the ordinary printout from checkmytrip would be fine.

There is a button somewhere which says PDF on the normal checkmytrip website. Click on that and I think it will give you what you are looking for.

Interesting - classic.checkmytrip.com is not working - redirects to amadeus.net. :(

With the bloated check my trip portal, there is indeed a "PDF" button (Between "Calendar" and "Share") - it does show the ticket number.

The Print option produces a printable HTML.

Yes, the PDF tab on checkmytrip.com does give a printable itinerary with the e-ticket number, but still not a copy of the e-ticket receipt, unlike virtuallythere.com (Sabre). Have just checked the SQ website and they also recommend you take the e-ticket receipt when you travel: "Your ticket information is stored within a secured system. With electronic tickets (eTickets), you do not need to collect paper tickets. However, we recommend that you bring along your eTicket receipt when you travel as you may be asked to show it at immigration checkpoints or by other authorities. When your booking is confirmed, we will send you an email with your booking details and eTicket receipt"

I think I'll just get hubby to retrieve his booking on their website and print it out from there, if he can't find the original booking email. I know most people probably don't carry the e-ticket receipt, but I'd rather err on the side of caution, just in case :)

The full fare breakdown information has not been available with check-my trip for some time, even with the classic.

As long as you have a printout with the correct e-ticket number then you have an 'e-ticket'.

Just for fun, try this site.

Thanks for the link Serfty - I can't get it to work at the moment, but with the stormy weather we've been having in Perth these past couple of days, the internet connection is all over the place! Sites I can usually access with no problem are giving me the "computer says no" response - mind you, at least we've still got power (touch wood) unlike a lot of other unlucky people ... and another front is coming through right now. Time to batten down the hatches (again)!

AirNZ use their own proprietary system and none of those sites got Galileo/SABRE/Amadeus will work on a reservation with solely AirNZ flights.

Anyone got a website for AA bookings?

Pretty sure AA use Sabre but virtuallythere won't let me check my itinerary... Is it possible to check AA flights outside of AA?

No, AA seem to have tied this up.

You need to go to AA.com for thier SABRE based bookings.
