hi,

sorry another question, is there anyway to find out how many QFF award seats are actually available on a flight? im looking to book a flight from Melb-NYC in May 2010, just wanna know if there are quite a few award seats left or not....

You will need to provide a few details such as what date, and what class of travel. You might consider going onto the QF website and simply looking for an award flight, but don't put in exact date..use the variable date search. Then you can click on the type of class you want, click 'go' and it should show you the seats for the entire month. The QF site won't however show you how many seats are available.

yeah, i know i have done all that on the QF site, just seeing if there was a way to see how many seats were actually available....

For seat available you can select from 1 to 9 - keep incrementing search by search until seat for a flight stop appearing.

Either that or get yourself an ExpertFlyer / KVS subscription.

If you know the booking class(es) used for awards, there's a very useful tool at seatcounter dot com (I'm not able to submit the actual URL because I haven't posted enough to the forum yet!)

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
