Speaking of which, I notice that AA.com no longer has any UPP fares from LAX to SEA? - if my memory is still ok I thought here were some good fares on that pair even via SFO? anyone got any insight on how to do this city pairing, travel will be on/around 4 SEP and return 11/12 SEP. More than happy to go via anywhere.

Thanks in advance.

Re: AA Status Run - Nice little earner

I had a quick look and, indeed, they are not being offered at the moment. Last week I could get LAX-(AA)-xSFO-(AS)-SEA vv all on AA flight numbers for USD845. The fare is now USD2438.

These SEA fares were not instant upgrade. They were fully flexible F - you needed to look in the far right column.

I wonder how long this will last?

Just on this topic, I've also got to fly up to SEA after getting off at LAX later this year, I was going to fly from ONT... how hard is it to get there from LAX? How long?

Done ONT to/from LAX a few times - used a super shuttle. It's about $90 + tip each way.

Takes an hour or so (maybe more if other PAX are out of the waye.g. once time I went via Beverly Hills).

I did consider renting a car one-way; was cheaper but in the end I decided it was too much hassle.

Back On topic ...

Thanks Serfty, good research, this trip isn't until September, so I think ill hang off on booking until we see what unravels.

Perhaps multi city starting in LAX and ending in SEA may throw up something funky.

My other favourite I have done a few times LAX-SFO-PDX (120SCs) or better SFO-LAX-PDX (150SCs) are still there at roughly the old prices. There are more limited F opportunities to PDX than to SEA but they do exist. A pleasant variation for time-rich people is to take the train between PDX and SEA.

AA fare jump

Am I going blind? Or mad?
have been checking out AA for upcoming trips in the US, & the fares seem to have gone crazy!! LAX SEA in flex 1st is usually in the 400s. Today it is $1200+ before taxes. And I have checked, it's giving me this in US $, not Zim or other!

Other fares also have gone through the roof.

(edit.Sorry to create extra work for you Serfty. The other thread must have been right there looking at me! I did check but didn't see it, & also on MP and FT to see if there were any threads on fare increases, but obviously missed this one )

Re: AA fare jump

Yes, it was noticed and posted herein a day or two ago ReLoad; the price changed 15th February.

I've merged these threads - look up at the FA2AA fare.

I hope it's temporary.

It's funnier to suggest that you're going mad ;)

But unfortunately it is as Serfty says :(

But what's to become of my comfortable Dom flights now???
Paying $460 for lax sfo sea & getting 150 SC & a meal of sorts & a few drinks in a comfy seat was alright, but triple that?? No way Jose!

IIRC a few years ago some flights using other carriers (Alaska Air springs to mind) went right up for a while, then came down again. Havn't been paying that much attention to ther routings because I need to get to SEA. Did AA do this last year?

I am here at SFO at the moment, just complete a SC down to SAL via BWI, also noticed that the cheap fares have disappeared from LAX full stop. I have decided to get a cheap vv fare to LAS, and then do the LAS-LAX-SEA-LAX-LAS for 300SC at $780 dollars, I do not think that you can get any cheap fares from LAX anymore (I have been looking for a few weeks now)
