I've just booked flights in late May to Dubai ex BKK with MH in J for about $1100 AUD return! That's 320 sc's too by my recollection. Just over $3 a SC!
I noticed you could fly from BKK or HKT and the prices were very similar. There is one small catch. During the period, MH are using DWC, not DXB for arrivals and departures. This will add some taxi time, but that's all.
