Hi - just confirming - it says within a 70 mile radius - when I put it some places in google maps is over 100 miles by road but is within the 70 miles radius - anybody had any issues with this

TIA

I believe the T&C indicate road distance.

[edit]
... seems it can be either, depending upon company/city ...

It's definitely road distance when i have used the service.

Actually, can confirm it is radius from the airport, so can be more than 70 driven miles.
If you exceed the radius, Carey will give you an invoice that outlines how far the destination is from the airport and you pay the difference (in 10 mile radius increments). I have used this service to Royal Leamington Spa and Stratford-upon-Avon and both times been charged the 0-10mile radius excess. These trips were both over 90 miles.

Where on the Emirates web site does it state this? Ive only seen reference to road distance.

I can also confirm the 70 mile radius, no issues with being taken to Rye, East Sussex (Dec 16) which was 85 miles in distance (Qantas CD)

Excellent - Rye was one of the spots I was looking at going to :)

Qantas CD T&C's:
11. Chauffer Drive services have a complimentary travel allowance, which may be based either on driven kilometres/miles or a capped radius in each city. If the journey exceeds the complimentary allowance, you are required to pay the driver an excess charge per kilometre/mile

So it depends on the company/city.

In Melbourne, it is certainly road distance. From my home in the SE, directly up the Nepean Highway, Bolte bridge, CityLink, Tullamarine, it come in 2.5k under.

Drivers want to take Eastlink/Monash/Citylink/Tullamarine - which is 17K over ...

Are you able to recommend a very good hotel or B&B near Rye?

Similarly to OP, I've booked SYD-LHR. The Qantas website is quite vague about this, but I wanted to confirm that the Chauffeur drives is available to and from both airports?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I believe that is correct.

Worked for me - it will tell you when you manage your booking if it's not available.
