Quick question which may have been asked before :
I have booked a Q class cheapie LAS-LAX and used my QF WP to get exit row and baggage allowance, can I ask the AAngels in the Lounge to change it to my no-status AA number to get some miles for the flight after I have checked in?

No minimum mileage guarantee for Whites (elites only) so around 236 points...

But only 99 more segments this year to EXP. :p

I suggest you OLCI and print two copies each of your Priority AAccess BP's. Stow one set and present the other in the lounge.

They will happily swap the F number and print new BP's. Then one of two things will occur: 1) They'll give your original BPs back along with the new and tell you to use the originals for priority boarding or 2) they'll rip up the originals and simply hand the new 1 back.

If 2) then on boarding retrieve the copies you stowed and use them for priority boarding (put the AA ones away). The barcode is the same on each (may simply be the booking reference, name etc.).

In all cases, keep your AA BP's with the Advantage number as sometimes they don't credit without further input from you - other than that, auto crediting is fast when it happens; generally within a day.

That is quite the convoluted process serfty!!!
It's actually quite simple.

To put it another way; make sure you keep a copy of the original Priority AAccess BP for priority boarding as well as keeping the BP with the AA number until the points post correctly.

Yes it works great.

I've just done the same - used my WP number for seat selection, and will keep it in there until the last minute (hey - I got an Opup on AA last year ;)).

I just ask in the lounge to keep the original for priority aaccess. Never been an issue as Serfty suggests.
