I have an upcoming long layover at Changi airport (arrive 6am, depart 3pm), so looking to book a room in one of the transit hotels during this time. Terminal doesn't really matter as I'll arrive in T3 and depart from T2, even the T1 hotel wouldn't be terribly inconvenient. Cost seems about the same between the three different hotels, so does anyone have any recommendations as to which hotel to pick (or avoid!)?

Have recently stayed at T1 for a 6 hour sleep which was perfectly fine. The room was spacious, clean, big bathroom and quiet. Didn't use the pool, but if that appeals to you then go for it.

The T1 hotel is closer to T2 for your departure point unless you're planning on using TPR prior to your connecting flight.

Wasnt T1 & T2 refurbished about a year ago?

As its a day booking, I would pick T1 for the pool - Ive stayed there a few times and still havent been able to try it out.

Yes both have been refurbed - and T3 was the most modern before that and I have stayed there a number of times and it more than acceptable - so as far as room quality I think there is little diff.

I have an ~6 hour layover with wife and daughter next week and may take your advice this time. Think we arrive in T3 and depart T2. Is going direct the only way to book?

Yeah just Google it and call direct. In room facilities ok - good showers / toilet / TV / WiFi. But get onto it now cause often booked out.

Looks like too late already for next Saturday night. KrisFlyer Gold lounge will have to suffice.

This website only shows transit hotel in Terminal 2 and 3 and no availability.
As Chimpy said T1 is Aerotel and is different stable - don't rely on web site Johnny call them instead and explain you have little bubba - I am pretty confident they will make a room available for you - you may need to call all 3 - if that costs too much I'll buy you an extra beer next time. Just talk really quickly on the phone to cut down costs. ;)

Yes, pull the baby card and how mom and bub need to rest. Good luck!

T1 Aerotel not available either. Will talk to the wife tonight and get her thoughts.

Arrive 12:20am depart 07:30am.

I've previously seen all three sold out four weeks in advance.
Presumably may be room for walk ups as always people who misconnect etc

I stayed in the Aerotel transit hotel recently. The layout is a corridor with many closely huddled rooms. The room door closes very firmly and makes considerable noise when doing so. I got a very poor sleep due to the continual flow of guests entering and exiting their rooms. Also, the aircon in the room was very noisy. Other than that, the facilities themselves are very good, getting a few laps of swimming in the morning was blissful.
On the return stopover, we stayed at Crowne Plaza Changi. It was superb, very comfortable rooms and I found it very quiet. While you had to go through immigration, for us this was very quick. The hotel is located in terminal 3, a very short walk from immigration.
What is important to me is the quality of sleep on a stopover, so I would choose the Crowne Plaza every time.

Welcome dwell. Keep your travel comments coming. I've tried both the T3 transit & Crowne Plaza. Transit when I just rocked up & had to wait an hour & the Crowne when the Transit wait was 3 hours.
