Got an excellent one way business fare from AUH to KUL via HKG

The AUH to HKG leg says its a 333 and from HKG to KUL is a 773

They showed seat maps when choosing seats and I picked 12A on the first and 15A on the second.

Can anyone shed any light on what sort of seats and what I'll be expecting. I have looked at the various charts on Cathay's website, but a little confused as various types of aircrafts under the 333's.

Check out the Cathay Pacific forum on flyertalk, they have a comprehensive guide to first understanding what aircraft you are on so you can pick seats.

Be warned that flights from the Middle East are on "Regional" aircraft for some flights which is old-school lounge chair style.

I believe the A333s are Regional with the old recliner seats. Quite Ok with adequate room but if the person in front reclines then you get to see their bald spot while trying to have dinner.

The 773s are Regional configuration and from memory are slightly different to the A333s and possible a little narrower.

I have some flights coming up next week on A333, 772, 773 and A343 and will try to remember to compare them.

Going by the seat map when I was asked to choose seats online....the config on the AUH-HKG leg is 1, 1 1, so looks like the lie flat bed...the HKG to KUL is def regional as it was 2, 2, 2

I have seen decreasing frequency of regional on the mid east route. I have seen some odd seat maps that have ended up being 1-1-1 but didnt look like it...
