Cancelling Velocity redemption - time for points to re-credit?

Anyone have experience cancelling a velocity reward booking?
How long did it take for your points to re-appear in your account?

I've done it 5 or 6 times and every time it's been instant . As soon as I've gotten off the phone to the agent I've logged on and they are there
 
instant for me too but once they didnt turn up and i had to ring and get them reinstated.

Generally when I have been concerned about such it has been to reuse those points.
 
Instant when you phone them up.

Up to 5 days if you do it online (if online allows you to do it)
