Can you pay for an additional guest at the LAX *A Lounge when travelling home on VA ?

Hi VFF,

Myself & 2 family members will be travelling home in September from LAX on VA 2 . As Velocity Gold I have access for myself +1 to the *A Lounge at LAX . Is it possible to pay at the lounge for the 3rd person to enter the A* Lounge ? If yes , do you know how much ?

Apologies for the delayed response on this one whilst I tried to confirm this information. I'm happy to advise that if you are eligible to use the Star Alliance lounge at LAX, additional guest entries can now be purchased at a cost of US$60 per additional guest but please note that due to capacity constraints this is only extended on a space-available basis.

Good to know and good stuff VA and *A ... you just hope that all the gate agents know this. VFF - is there a T&C page that pax can refer to, or print out?

This is not an advertised benefit and guest entries above your standard entitlement remain at the discretion of lounge management at the LAX Star Alliance lounge. Entry may not always be available due to space concerns, therefore the benefit is not published as we do not want to set an expectation that we may not be able to meet.

And may I say that's an excellent way of doing things in your industry! (ALL airlines who continue to offer 'priority baggage' without being able to guarantee that it will be consistently delivered, please refer!)

Just some feedback on this thread . Last night in LAX , i was successful in paying for an additional guest ( there were 3 of us) to access the *A Lounge. Cost was $60USD , which was well worth it as we had a 5 hour layover before boarding VA2 . Very simple process , payment processed via the Lounge Manager on an I-Pad. Credit Card payment only . No Cash. It was my first visit to the lounge & was extremely impressed with everything . Lounge staff were fantastic.
