Can you book a one world award flight using points from 2 different FF programs?

The reason I"m asking is that I have quite a few QFF points and intend, one day, to utilise them for a one world classic reward flight (the 35k mile one). Anyhoo, I'm about to book a flight to the UK for myself and family with Qatar and they have a special deal specifically from Adelaide where they give double points on their own FF program (to celebrate the new daily flights from Adelaide in May).
Is it worth signing up for their FF program to redeem the double points and can you then use those points plus qff points to book a one world reward flight? Or am I better when booking the flight to provide my qff membership to earn straight Qantas points?

You mean join QR (Qatar) and QF (Qantas) FF points together to pay for that one same award flights?
In my 18.5 years as a QF FF member, I have not ever seen this capability.

Afraid you can't do what you are hoping to do. You can only redeem QFF and Qatar FF points separately via their respective schemes; in other words, different awards.

The earn on QFF on Qatar marketed flights has been very poor since "Simpler and Fairer" (Qantas' cutting earn on partner airlines), although that is being revised. For ADL-DOH-LHR, you'll earn about 8,150 Qantas FF points and 55 SCs per pax 1 way; not sure if that will improve with the mooted changes.

It may be worth crediting to the Qatar program, if the number of points are meaningful. You may be able to take a side-flight(s) on your RTW trip

Thanks so much for the information. I don't fly often so think I will just credit to Qantas and hope that they change the partner points before I fly.

Don't forget that if you are short of QF FF points, 85% and need about 15% to top up/off, and have an award in mind, you can top up they call it, ie, in this instance, you can purchase points from QF.
Have to phone up though.
