Can WP's set assign non-status family members on the same flight but a different PNR?

I used my free Amex flight but a family member used points - can we sit together? I've already allocated myself 3A.

edit - title is meant to say SEAT assign!!

Normally you need to be on the same booking. You could try the call centre and see what they say.

Yes can be easily done

1. Get them to link the bookings (Just in case)
2. Get them to select a seat and yes, they can select Platinum seats for non-plat members on seperate bookings

That has been exactly my experience too.
