Hi all. Stupid questions I know, but I am a newcomer so please excuse my ignorance.

Husband is VFF Gold Status with lots of points. We have a Delta flight LAX-JFK in August - paid on credit card for main cabin seating (U) via Delta.com
Question 1)
As Velocity Gold, do we get the chance for a complimentary upgrade to Comfort+?
Question 2)
I would love to upgrade to Business. I know Delta/Virgin Australia are partners but don't know if Velocity/Skymiles are interchangeable or transferable.
Can we upgrade to Comfort +/Delta One using Velocity points and if so, how?

Appreciate any advice............

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Only can transfer VA FF points to SQ KF. Or vv.
Cannot do transfers to any other FF program apart from KF or vv.
Even then, its not a value of 1:1, its a disproportionate 1.35:1 skewed one way.
Edit: DL is in Skyteam, thought they tie in with VA.
But SQ is not in Skyteam, they are in *A, so once the points are in SQ KF, you can't move them to DL SM if you were planning that down the track.

Thanks for the heads up. I guess I already knew the answer when posting this question. Wouldn't it be lovely if there was a universal points converter eh?

There's points.com which doesn't cover all airline FF programs but the transfer ratio is poor at best. Usually good to use if you have orphaned miles about to expire such as my ~6,500 UL FlySmiles miles.
