Bus, Breakfast & Booze in the Barossa
Sunday 3rd April

For those of you that have been on a tour organized by +1 and I, you already know the quality of the offering. For any newcomers, you will certainly have a memorable day.

Our day starts at 08:00am when we board our luxurious 50 seat coach and head off for a scrumptious breakfast at a thus far secret destination. You will have about 1 hour before we need to again board the coach and resume our journey to Rockford Wines where Robert O’Callaghan’s niece Holly will be our host for 2 hours. Like last year, we have once again been invited into the barrel room for a private tasting and discussion about Rockford. Be armed with any questions you may have for Holly. For those of you who are not Stonewall members, this tour will provide you with an opportunity to not only taste premium wine that is not usually available to the general public but to also purchase some on the day.

Concluding at around 12:30, we rejoin the coach for a short drive to Pindarie where a nominated staff member will conduct a private group tasting and talk about Pindari and their wines. With the tasting over, we head out to be seated under the big pepper tree where lunch platters await to be devoured. Nothing like a few glasses of Rockford and Pindari to bring on a hearty appetite! Why not purchase a bottle of your favourite Pindari to enjoy with lunch?

Assuming that we have kept to schedule, our driver Paul will now take us to Menglers Hill where you will encounter one of the most magnificent views over the valley. Whilst at Menglers, and again time permitting, +1 and I have another surprise in stall for you.

At 4:00pm we need to return to the coach where Paul will have the engine primed and running ready for our return to Adelaide. Our first stop will be at the airport by 5:30pm where we say goodbye to those leaving the tour there. Our second stop will be at the Hilton and our third stop at roughly where we started the day.

Our day needs to begin early so that we arrive at each location on schedule.

Any delay will result in us missing out on something, somewhere so please arrive on time.
Our meeting place is at the bottom of the escalator outside the Adelaide Convention Centre on North Terrace, a short walk from the tram stop opposite the casino.

The cost of the tour is $105.00 per head and includes the following:

Return coach trip Adelaide Barossa Adelaide

Your choice of breakfast from the 3 offerings (to be posted shortly)

A cup of tea or coffee (from the posted menu)

Lunch

All tasting fees

Tips and gratuities.

The cost does not include:

Any additional items you consume for breakfast

Wine or other beverages with lunch

The tour is strictly limited to 25 and below in alphabetical order is a list of those who indicated their interest on a previous tour. This leaves 5 places available on a first come, first served basis with a wait list should a place become available.

A trybooking link will be posted shortly for ticket purchases to this event.

Please see http://www.australianfrequentflyer....lection-funds-attending-46200.html#post735996.

Please be aware that if you purchase a ticket it is non refundable unless another person wants your spot, in which case the waiting will determine who gets the place.

A Saturday night get together is also being organized, a link will be put on this thread to a separate thread that will be started for that event. You need not attend the wine tour to come along to the Saturday night event.

Hi Buzzard,
Would love to come on one of your tours. Please put me down as platinum.
Thanks,

Naturally I shall be attending.

The date was mentioned in the other Barossa thread several days ago...

Thanks Buzz. Platinum for me.

Two hours at Rockford . One could do a lot of 'damage' in that time and there are a couple of people I know who probably will :)
