Does British Airways have an Australian office?

I'm trying to use a customer care voucher and the Indian call centre is driving me mad. If I call London they say I must ring the Australian number.

Is there a phone number for someone actually based in Australia?

Thanks in advance!

Glad I'm not the only one - spent a couple of hours on the phone with the BA Indian call centre the other day, just to book a CFG-LHR-DUS ticket using a voucher, had the flight numbers i wanted, the price from ba.com, all i wanted was for it to be booked.

At first they could not be sure that BA flew from Paris, then could construct the CDG-DUS fare to within 1000 Euros of the ba.com fare, they kept telling me the fare on ba.com was invalid, asked for a supervisor, put on hold, hung up on. Finally got it done - made me seriously contemplate the refundable nature of the return first class tickets I am holding with them SYD-LHR-SYD, there are times when I wonder if execs think about the impact of their cost cutting.

Remember very fondly as a kid the BA shopfront on Adelaide street in Brisbane, with a cut out 747 in the window...

The Indian call centre insists that Y is the only fare they can sell for some European routes (despite ba.com showing cheap flights), and on other routes they will only sell full J - despite cheap economy flights being available.

Driving me nuts!

I believe they have an office in North Sydney but i cant find the details at the moment. I do know that they dont take any incoming calls from passengers, so it may be a moot point.
I had a problem with the Indian call centre too. took me about 6 phone calls to upgrade to Y+ and another 4 or 5 on top of that to try and date change my return flight. Whilst in the UK, it was sorted in about 5 minutes. For this reason alone, I will seriously consider any other airline but BA. Not that QF are much better, service or schedule wise, but better the devil you know, than the one you dont!

Anyone have any luck with this? Or better yet, the regular UK number?
You can't get seat allocations for non-tier passengers at their office here in BKK - tried already, and the call centre was useless. I can have my seat, but my partner can't have theirs allocated right now.

I'm trying to call from Thailand to get seating allocations, and I keep being told to call the 1300 number which just won't connect!

Can't change seats online and it's starting to drive me nuts - I was routed through Qantas, but I needed to make 4 calls before the transfer actually went through. :(

One would imagine this comes about as a direct result of the almost weekly strikes and union hold ups that BA face in the UK. It would appear that 48,000GBP is not enough money for a call centre employee in the UK anymore.... ALAS, relocate to India...

*blinks* GBP 48k for a call centre staffer? Really?

48K is in my opinion not enough when you live in London, one of the most expensive cities in the world. but i guess we all live different lives so its all relative.

in answer to the original post, ive found the details and the BA office in Australia is located at :
British Airways PLC
Level 7
141 Walker St
North Sydney NSW 2060

and their mailing address is:
PO BOX 6493
North Sydney NSW 2060.

hope this helps......

After reading this thread I decided not to even bother with the Australian number. I put some credit on my skype account and called British Airways direct in the UK. They dealt with my call in literally 3:39minutes. A simple meal change, but still very fast and it cost me less than .80 australian cents.

They did mention that it was a quiet day, but I still think this is the better option considering the troubles that others have had with the call centre.

the number is (+44) 0844 493 0787.
