Brisbane Drinks night Friday 5 October (Oktoberfest!)

I'm again taking the reigns from Bundy Bear to organise Oktoberfest drinks this year.

Plenty of live entertainment all night in the main hall, with full meals from the restaurant as well as snacks in the hall available for purchase.

Cover charge to get in is $10 for non-members and $5 for members.

I will be getting there early myself to hopefully secure a table in the hall for the AFF group that decides to come along. It's generally a fun night, good food and drinks, good songs to sing along to, and my goal this year is to get home without falling over and landing on my commemorative stein, cutting my finger open

Oktoberfest is in full swing at uni too; going to be mad tomorrow.

For anyone thinking if coming, I've secured a table at the entrance to the beer hall, and just ate more sauerkraut than sausage. Yum!

I must be getting old or I am losing my hearing, I gave up after 3 hours a few jugs of beer and dinner.

Yes Lady Gaga was played in the first 30 minutes.

Also they played a few other songs, Drive by(Train) and Someone I used to Know(Gotye)

Mmm..& . I also thought that the President of the BNE German Club may have revoked your membership after you managed to 'trip her over" but the burly Frau then realized it was accidental.. & you only got a scolding :shock:
It was a splendid evening & I lost count after the 20th cup of the delicious amber fluid, in the spirit of the substitute authentic Oktoberfest in Brisvegas.
i thoroughly enjoyed the ambience & slightly loud music & we managed to get home safely with some sobering assistance.
Look forward to the next celebratory occassion
