I was excited until I saw that t’s not until December 12.

But I read elsewhere:
"The fare anomaly that arose when the integrated TransLink fare structure was implemented has also been addressed and we welcome that. Further innovative fare products will cement Airtrain as the preferred method of travel to and from the airport."

What fare anomaly is this? I hope they mean the one where it costs me ~$7 more to buy a ticket to the airport from the Gold Coast, than traveling to Central and buying a ticket…

Wow. That's a long time after Brisbane itself closes. ;)
But there are lots of late night departured from International terminal, so gives people a chance to travel to the airport after the city centre closes ;)

Good to see some common sense with the Airtrain, now if they only apply it to the price$.

Couldn't find a more on topic thread on my iPhone. Heading to airport today, paid for a one-way AirTrain ticket, cost me $30.30!!

I swear that's gone up, but considering I can get to Brisbane for about $5 on my GoCard I'm not very happy about the price.

I thought it was going down?

No, will never get cheaper. Translink have a nice schedule of annual fare increases on their website, and the airport link people won't be discounting in a hurry. Had a quick look - Robina > Domestic. Paper ticket $32.80; gocard $27.41 or offpeak $25.03. Such is life. :|

The Airtrain does not do concessions, so that part of the journey is at the same rate as an adult.

I just booked an Airtrain Connect from GC to BNE Dom, for the first time in over 12 months. I think the price is over $10.00 more than I can remember paying last time I booked.

Still much cheaper than any other transfer service. They are most inflexible about pick up times and which railway station they take you to on the GC. V annoying.

I got the 927pm departure from Dom AP to CBD last night so pleased with the new latr service!

Yep hard from the gold coast as its the same train but tapping off go card at central or eagle junction then using prepaid ticket would be the cheapest by far.

I want to do so, but that would mean I'd probably miss the train I came in on, wasting half an hour.

Ahh well, here now, it's like a mad house in the QP. People are slowly leaving though.

Yeah easier if using a different train line other than gold coast. Thought there is a timing stop at central but doesn't seem to be long.
