EDIT3: Turns out there was nothing much in this event at all.

I had a good old laugh a few weeks ago when my HO issued "Active Shooter; Run, Hide, Fight" training... then I thought, its actually not a dumb thing to take part in.

Looking at some of the twitter photos, some people are dumping their bags and running for exits. Considering people take their luggage down the slide on an evac, the dumping is interesting.

We had a similar drill at work recently but I missed it due to travel.

Instant action: Run, drop crawl, roll

Considering the recent attacks at IST and BRU I think people maybe forgiven for acting the way they did when told by security of the attack and to run.
I do not know if they were told to leave their bags, reduces the chance that another bomb in a bag goes off in a crowded group of evacuated passengers, or if it was a natural reaction to drop and run.

Too many of these false alarms are going to lead to a "boy who cried wolf" scenario.
