Fare rules for Economy Basic
Changes The "Basic" ticket is changeable against a charge of EUR 120, as long as the originally booked class is still available. Otherwise, the difference to the next higher available "Basic" fare will be charged additionally .
Changes must be made before the departure of the flight being changed. This fare is only valid if the flights are taken in the booked sequence. Otherwise the fare will be recalculated based on the actual flight routing.
Cancellation Cancellation is not permitted. Unused fees and charges can be refunded. Fuel and security surcharges will not be refunded.
Baggage Allowance On journeys, which exclusively contain Lufthansa flight numbers and Lufthansa operated flights, the following
free baggage allowance per passenger applies for checked baggage:
in Economy Class
1 piece up to 23kg (50lbs)
for a second piece up to 23kg (50lbs), a charge of EUR 50 / USD 70, depending on your country of travel commencement, applies per direction (checked-in portion)
in Business Class
2 pieces up to 32kg (70lbs) each
in First Class
3 pieces up to 32kg (70lbs) each
The size of each piece of baggage is limited to 158cm (62") (width + height + depth).
Extended free baggage allowances apply on journeys to/from Japan, Brazil, East, West and Central Africa, on selected routes to/from Canada and the United States as well as for status customers. Please also acknowledge the regulations for
sport and special baggage. In case your checked baggage exceeds the free baggage allowance or standard dimensions,
excess baggage charges will apply.
Additionally, you may carry on one piece of cabin baggage of up to 8kg (18lbs) in Economy Class, two in Business and First Class free of charge. Please take note of
