This trip,

Rule 10, fight on the IST to BKK flight had the captain come down - reclining when the guy is trying to eat
Rule 4, LAX AA X-ray guy would not move down the conveyor just did the shoe on, belt around, etc, and lived it to the max.
Rule 1, did the "walk" from 67 to 4 (via The Wing). I came to the conclusion that some people take their holidays on the moving walkways.
Rule 11, LAX guy pushes past from Y to J, then we find him walking slowly in the air bridge, slowly texting, holding everyone back.

and also notable mentions for 2, 3, 6, 7, 8 and 9

Definitely rule 10 the most important.

Haven't had that debate for a week or so....

Actually, whilst it makes for a good read, Michael Pascoe has actually got it backwards.
It is unrealistic to believe that the throngs will follow the code.
The smart move is to expect that the masses will not follow the code - and then prepare accordingly.

Makes for a much more satisfying journey, rather than being frustrated by the behaviour of others.

Yes to all these rules!! Legend

If you do recline always bring it up for meals. Its just nice to let one eat in peace.

Great article. Point 4 made me smile.

If the person in front has reclined into you prior to meal service, you can ask the FA to tell the person in front to return their seat to the upright position. I've never had an issue with this approach.
