Which Visa/ Master Cards are good to earn KF miles - with low annual fee, and low additional card fee for low spending ?

I currently have an Amex Plat Card, but always carry an additional Visa/ Master cards just in case when Amex is not accepted/ surcharged, hence thinking of having another Visa/ Master Card that can earn more points. :) All the cards seem to have excessive annum fee.

Thanks

I use the Westpac Platinum, but I'm considering dropping to the Gold, unless you can pump plenty of $$ through it, I can't justify the annual fees. We fly to UK twice a year, and took up these cards to try to get regular points based upgrades or something, but we just don't get enough points going to make it very worthwhile. You could probably do better with Qantas, but then you'd need to fly with them!:(

I use Citibank but you should read the threads so you can see the struggles others have had to get the card issued and running properly.
I dumped Westpac Platinum Kris Visa as they dropped to half a point a dollar almost 8 months ago.

I use Westpac Platinum and a Amex Gold Card. The Westpac card also comes with an Amex Card as well as the Mastercard so I have two Amex cards.

I do not pay any fees on the Amex Gold Card as it is part of a membership package of a professional association.

The Westpac Mastercard is one point per dollar and the Westpac Amex card three points per dollar. However the burn rate from Altitute points to Kris Flyer points is half.

The Amex Gold Card is better value. After a spend of $10,000 per year (that is recollection only) you earn points at 1.5 per dollar spent and the conversion rate is 1 for 1. Had no problems with minimum spend as paid private school fees for three kids over 12 years. Thankfully that has now come to an end this year!

Use the Amex cards to pay for groceries at Coles or Woolworths and for smaller traders use the Mastercard.

Overall I consider Kris Flyer points to be better value than Qantas points.
