Hello all, I've had a search through the forum and have found a lot of info on the old business class seating, but not too much since the upgrades.
Can we get some thoughts on what people think are the best seats?
I currently have 1A booked however It has been mentioned that this seat should be avoided because of the proximity to the bathrooms.

Please add thoughts and experiences.

Doesn't really matter imho-the toilet is well away from the first row.

Doesn't make much if any difference. I like 1A but have no substantive reason for it other than first choice of meals.
I think SeatGuru puts that comment on all pretty much all bulkhead seats.

1A is a good seat. Probably about the best. Bathroom is well forward.

1G is problematic for bathroom proximity and being next to the linen cupboard.

2K is traditionally avoided for being right behind the linen cupboard which is accessed regularly by the FA's, but if you are too tall (say bigger than 2m), this bed is significantly longer due to extending into the cavity behind the linen cupboard. I go 2K for this reason and it's nearly always available.

Oddly enough, while settling into my 4G seat on the 777, I was told by our FA that the forward toilet on the starboard side was for females only. Like a goof, I said "are you sure?" to which she replied "Absolutely Ma'am. You're the only female on this side so it's almost all yours!"

I was giddy. Visions of spotless floors and the words "private ensuite" were already pervading my virtual trip report and almost on cue, my body decided I needed to use this most wonderful perk to actually believe it.

Well THAT little dream lasted all of 27 seconds, as the young bloke in 3K jumped into my new loo directly after takeoff and left me a delightful and aeromatic calling card.

I stayed away from that bathroom for the entire trip.

But I digress, so back to your question: I think 6A got a bad rap for being chilly, but apart from that, I didn't see any bad seats.

Is that the kind of smell you only get on planes?:)

Not sure about 1A on the 777s, but on the A330s it's a perfectly fine seat.

You get a bit of an extra shelf in front of the seat where you can rest your bags as you take things in/out (but not for storage during flight). Not much foot traffic from passengers, but obviously the crew have to walk past you to get to any other seat — still hardly noticeable though given the reverse herringbone layout.

Plenty of good feedback.
I flew PER-MEL on the A330 yesterday and had my first experience in "The Business" and I had 2A.
I have to say its the best business class seat I have had in my limited experience, I can't wait for the opportunity to have 1A for the BNE-LAX leg in Jan.

Please continue to post your feedback.

I have the centre 2 seats of row 2 booked for my next flight so looking forward to checking out the new Business. Enjoy!

My wife and I have just got back from LAX in 2D and 2G both there and back and we had no issues with these seats. Despite what SeatGuru says about 1A I don't think there is any major issues with any seats, suffice to say that I would try and stay away from the bar area. Going over my wife and I had a drink at the bar and there was one chap that appeared to have too much to drink and every time we opened our mouths he would groan and grunt, giving us a funny look. My wife felt uncomfortable and we went back to our chairs. As a side note I think the bar is a waste of space and they would be better putting in a lounge area. (not sure if there is enough space) Because of the layout in the middle two seats it doesn't leave a lot of scope for a close discussion but that's not a big deal after being married for 32 years. :)

Just returned from LAX flying in 'The Business' - my husband and I had the 2 middle seats in Row 3 and they were great.
Usually fly Singapore J but thought that the Virgin flight was up there.
