Best seats in Y on QF0076 YVR-SYD

Hi fellow FF's,

I am planning a trip in June MEL-SYD-DFW-STL then YVR-SYD-MEL. All in Y on QF/AA.

I am familiar with what are great/good seats and how to book them on QF A380's but haven't been on any QF B747's for ages. Would like to secure myself a nice seat on the YVR-SYD sector. On the 380's I try to get Row 66 for $25 as this is a bulkhead row but without any bassinets nearby. I'm not tall so the leg room is plenty.

But on the seat maps I see for the 747's suggest all bulkheads are bassinet friendly. Would prefer to pay $25 than $180 for an exit row but not going to rule that out.

Anyone have any ideas please?

Not all 747 bulkheads are bassinet friendly.

I am not sure about all versions of the 747 but on the one with row 43 bulkhead ABC and HJK are not bassinets. The bassinets are DEFG. Same goes for row 60 bulkhead?

Unfortunately since the recent changes these bulkheads are now classed as extra legroom seats and attract the same fee as an exit row.

At the moment I have opted for 46D for YVR-SYD. It shows as a Bulkhead with bassinets but I'll take my chances. I opted for 66D for SYD-DFW (A380). I sat in that seat last trip (MEL-LAX) and was happy with the legroom and ability for all 4 pax. to get up without bothering others. On the way home I paid $180 for 35D (exit row upstairs) but I didn't think the extra leg room over Row 66 was worth the $155 more.

All up both seats cost me 6500 Points. Would have been $25 each if 'cash'.
