So I'm taking my family to Ireland and elsewhere in Europe, for my brother-in-law's wedding. The long-haul flights are on SQ, some of us in business using KrisFlyer miles. The paid economy SQ flights will be credited to VA accounts and then pooled into mine. Within Europe we're flying EI, KL and D8.

Being able to get all my family's miles into my account (or accessible together, anyway) eventually is a big plus.

My current major holdings are:
VA 500k (Gold soon, potentially Plat in a few months), family all pooled to my account
AA 320k (Exec Plat just expired)
QF 190k (obviously free family transfers available)
SQ 45k
Credit card points transferable to those plus CX and others I'm not currently pursuing (possibly through SPG) up to 250k

I have OneWorld and Star covered, but nothing in SkyTeam. EI aren't back in OneWorld yet, and the cheap fares (O bucket) we've got won't earn on QF, UA, CX or even BA. I guess the best bet is to earn Avios through EI then try to pool them at Avios.com? Does anyone know whether it's possible to open an EI AerClub and/or Avios.com account with an Australian address? I understand that BA expressly denies Exec Club to Australian residents. And can a household account or some other family consolidation be constructed out of this somehow?

For SkyTeam, I am unlikely to fly anyone much except maybe DL, and I can credit DL to VA. My work travel, when it happens, tends to be Europe on the ME3 or maybe CX, SQ or QF. I can transfer multiple cards' miles to AF/KL, but maybe KE is better with longer mile lifespan, family groups and high premium availability? Has anyone used a KE family group? Does it need to be in existence before the points are earned or can the group be linked up later and still access existing points?

So, are EI and KE my best bets here or is there something else I'm missing? Is it worth holding out for some kind of joining bonus with any of these programs? The relevant flights start in about six weeks.
