Heading there for Easter. Any recommendations?

Have Hilton Diamond and accor Le Club platinum so was looking at Sofitel and Hilton. From review the rooms at Sofitel are better but the pool not so good as always in shade. Hilton Beach Club seems well regarded but rooms are dated.

Any my other options? Don't wanna spend heaps but will pay a bit more if worth it

I also heard some hotels won't allow non married couples? How much if an issue is this?

Stayed at the Beach Rotana in the end and was very impressed. Booked a King Premium and was offered a cheap upgrade at check in to a Club King - which for the equivalent of c. $50 extra a day gave us club lounge access with free breaky, wifi, snacks, soft drinks and 4 hours of alcohol in the evening - very good value. Hotel was great - rooms were pretty good, pool/beach area great and some nice bars and restaurants - we only ended up eating in one of them - Benihana - which if yo've not visited is a great experience :)

Would definitely stay again.

Stayed at the Traders Hotel in Quyrat Al Beri and it was very nice, had its own beach etc, nice bar and very nice rooms. Cant remember the exact room however.

There was a great steak restuarant not far away and excellent market, in particular an outstanding jeweller where i had my wifes engagement ring made at an amazing cost for the value.

Only problem was it was a bit far away from the city centre, but i was there for a purpose other than sight seeing.

I would consider staying again however!
