My partner and I are flying in the F cabin on QF127 A380 for the first time. We have chosen 3/4A and wanted any recommendations from regular F flyers here :)

The cabin is currently empty so will be able to change if needed.

I've only done F one return trip on QF, but would go for A seats if all seats are available. There is a dedicated aisle just for A seats.

It's a matter of personal preference where you want to sit. 1A is near the toilets and 5A is back closer to the galley so only crew would pass it during the flight.

4A (like 4K) has three windows which is great for day flights if you're wanting to look out the window.

As it is a day flight I have chosen 3A and 4A. Also hope to try the 'dining' option together in the suite.

There's a good review of the A380 F seating at AUSBT: The best seats in first class on the Qantas Airbus A380

2A, 3A and 4A (not necessarily in that order) would probably be usually amongst the first seats to get selected. I think you can't go wrong with the 3A and 4A you picked.

1A obviously has the novelty factor of being right at the front which is nice if having a piece of paper saying 1A on it is your thing.

The tables are big and being able to dine facing your companion is a treat that sadly I wasn't able to benefit from as I was travelling alone.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

My partner and I are also doing QF127/128 in the F cabin at the end of the year. We picked 3A and 4A based on info found online :)

Have done both sides (A & F seats) and agree that A side has less foot traffic - dined in 1A with partner, no issues.

We did 3A and 4A as a couple and found them very suitable.

Was this in F, or F sold as J? I'm curious whether the F bedding (particularly the mattress topper) is used when the cabin is sold as J.

F. Though I've heard the bedding is still used when the cabin is sold as J.

Mr FM really likes 1A, I prefer 2A. I didn’t like 1A because of the little cupboard opposite that the crew get things out of, but its infrequently. I would probably pick 2A and 3A but nothing wrong with any A column seats. Well nothing wrong with any of them in F, we just found service on that side faster and it’s a bit less foot traffic.

The seats are a different size to the J seats so using the F bedding would make a lot of sense.

When sold as J though you’d get J amenity kit and J pyjamas would be for overnight flights.

Just remember that 5A is the bassinet seat and you may be moved if the bassinet is required.
Interestingly enough that is the seat I have had issues with, leaking air con , problem with the entertainment system
Thanks for that I didn't know

I guess I will stick with 3A and 4A.

It will be interesting to compare to CX F which we were luckily upgraded to over xmas holidays due to a full flight (even though it won't be true F service)

to be quite honest the bed is the best part of Qantas F, so you will get that. Generally not a fan but I still find their bed hard to beat :)

Probably need to do multiple flights trying different seats to find out which seat you prefer. There are arguments for/against all the A seats.
